Biography
Oliver White-Smith studied film production at university but found that his inspiration always came from photographers; he now marries those two passions within his unique, ethereal films. Describing his work as “vignettes of a moment in time”, Oliver weaves narrative through his characteristic dream-like aesthetic creating work with such depth of colour that his films often feel like paintings that move.
Based in Cornwall, where the light and landscape serve as a constant muse, Oliver’s work has taken him around the globe. These travels have allowed Oliver to intertwine the surrounding cultures he experiences into the fabric of his style. A multifaceted talent, Oliver’s practice is varied: not only both directing and shooting, but also editing and grading his work.
Oliver’s clients include Relais & Chateaux, Grind, Bert & May, Beefeater, Footlocker, Malfy Gin, the Peligoni Club, Sand and Stone, Cecile Bahnsen, Lodestars Anthology, Sanderson, Kip Hideaways, Love Your Home, Bloom Magazine, Plowden & Smith, and Pernod-Ricard.
