Which one’s Pearson and which one’s Lyle? It’s a question we’re often asked, and the answer, we hope, explains a bit about who we are and what motivates us.

Betty Pearson, later Lyle, was the maternal grandmother of Eleanor Harrison; she was a clerk to the magistrates in her adopted home of Cornwall, something of a trail-blazer as a full-time working mother in the early 1950s, confidently out-earning most others around her. When she died in March 2005, her legacy to Eleanor, her only grandchild, was some money and a diamond ring. But that wasn't the only thing Betty gifted to Eleanor. She also showed her from an early age that women could do anything they wanted, in a time when female-led businesses were not as common as they are now.

The bequest was serendipitously timed, arriving later that year, on the very day Eleanor was given the opportunity to set up shop on her own: she used it to buy a laptop and rent a tiny premises to start her own photographic agency, having already had a thorough grounding in the world of interiors and lifestyle photography and production. The agency was born out of the desire to represent a carefully curated group of outstanding image makers and motion creators who are also a pleasure to work with. Because, let’s be honest, life is all about nurturing good relationships and good business is no different.

Nearly two decades later, the agency has grown in both size and stature, but our core values–the same ones that drove Betty herself–remain the same: to work hard with honesty, integrity, and good humour. We still represent artists who were with us from day one, and we have built successful long-term relationships with clients all over the world, which is testament to the friendly, efficient service we offer.

Our artists are amongst the finest in their field and we are proud of the work we produce together. We think Betty, who has always been the extremely silent partner of this business, would also be proud.
