The son of an architect, there was perhaps an inevitability that Rory would grow up with a love of structure and a passion for observing how people use space and objects.

After studying photography in his home town of Melbourne ahead of several years of assisting fashion photographers in London, Rory began his career back in 2011 with a brand campaign for Tate Modern. He now shoots internationally; most frequently in the UK, Australia, Switzerland, Mexico and the USA

Rory predominantly shoots on film as he enjoys the tactility of the analogue process and it’s rendition of light. This consistent aesthetic has seen Rory work for all manner of brands such as Aesop, Armadillo, Aston Martin, Chanel, Frama and Isokon with agencies such as Pentagram and DN&Co

Rory has collaborated with some of the world’s most prestigious architects including David Chipperfield Architects, Christ and Gantenbein, Carmody and Groake, as well as Tatiana Bilbao

Editorially, Rory’s international credits include Architectural Digest, Architectural Review, Cereal, Domus, Elle Deco, Rum ID and Wallpaper
